Greetings VO pals:
I am on the verge of doing an ISDN install at a small 'satellite' studio location for my use when I'm away from my home ISDN facility.
In an effort to contain costs, I'm wondering if an ISDN-BRI circuit can serve a dual role and be utilized for high-speed internet access (with the proper interface -whatever that would constitute).
In this particular scenario, I would otherwise need to separately install DSL
for internet. Has this ever been known to be do-able or are we talking about needing, say, ISDN-PRI for that application (or dependent on the particular TelCo).
Thanks much for any insights on this!

This should work if you get the appropriate ISDN modem for your computer, then just use an A/B phone line switch. But I am not entirely sure how your ISP will provide Internet via ISDN, you're going to have to ask them at the time you order. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Mike,
The one thing to be very careful about: because ISDN as Internet service is very old technology, you might be astonished at the prices you'll pay for the service. You'll probably find it more cost effective to use DSL for your Internet at ISDN just for the audio. (Some ISDN Internet service charges based on the amount of data transferred, so you won't know how big the bill will be until you get it.) _________________ Be well,
