A couple of days ago an agency in the USA got in touch and asked about my availability for an ISDN session on Monday. I tend to simply answer questions rather than ask them so mentioned that 2pm onwards would be ok. It's a very nice job even when the VO agent has deducted the 15% commission.
When did the agent request the audition? When was I consulted as to whether or not I should be put forward to the client as the Voice of choice? How much time did I spent haggling and bargaining over the budget? I couldn't remember! My elderly brain getting the better of me? No! The first I heard of the job was the "are you available" contact and then I received the confirmation of the booking.
This reporter is pleased to announce the existence of at least one VO agency in the USA that doesn't insist on b*ggering around. |

Love when that happens.
Happened to me today as well.
See, they're not all bad in the US, Banksey. _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

Happens to me just frequently with one of my agents. Yep, I love when that happens. _________________ Be well,
