|

Something like this:
Quote: | Could not obtain common word list
DEBUG MODE
SQL Error : 2013 Lost connection to MySQL server during query
SELECT m.word_id FROM phpbb_search_wordmatch m, phpbb_search_wordlist w WHERE w.word_text IN ('4', 'afraid', 'booth', 'bridge', 'carolina', 'directing', 'england', 'georgia', 'listening', 'meet', 'patch', 'people', 'phone', 'recording', 'south', 'studio', 'talent', 'voice') AND m.word_id = w.word_id GROUP BY m.word_id HAVING COUNT(m.word_id) > 38236
Line : 309
File : functions_search.php |
If this happens, you have to use your browser's BACK button to click SUBMIT again to get the message to go thru , but then there will be TWO POSTS of the same message. Please take a look at the tread or the forum to check for dupes and delete the extra one.
This particular problem is a stinker and I can't seem to make it disappear. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Yup. I've had it a couple times. Thanks for the indo DB. I thought I needed a rewrite cuz there was a word that was misspelled. _________________ Bobbin Beam

Happened to me a couple of times as well, and your solution seems to work for me nicely, Deebs. I also did complete rewrites before I found out... oh well... |

I found that if I get the DEBUG error, the message HAS already posted... so the DEBUG "could" be ignored...
DB.. it looks like the function that catalogs posts for the search function is burping... my guesstimate is that an index file or sum such is not where it should be.. or there is a space issue.. it looks like it is performing the scan task but then chokes on what to do with the results.. I'll do some poking about the net and see what I can drum up |

I found this while scanning about

Yeah, that's a nasty one. We used to have it on this very forums. This happens when your forum gets too many session records in the database. As a temporary measure, empty your phpbb_sessions table.
As far as I know, a working, permanent code fix has yet to be developed. It was fixed here by creating a PHP script, run from a cron job, that empties the phpbb_sessions table a few times each day.

( back to Jason's thoughts)
SQL servers can raise holy hell when they get overloaded... we had many client issues as a result of an overloaded sql server... if the above doesn;t help.. it could be that the ISP\Host is the one with issues.. IE their SQL server is overloaded... if you are a stand alone domain and not sharing resources the above issue might be more prevalent or ... not...
I hope this is of some help |

This Database lives at GoDaddy's shared servers, but I can imagine that it gets mighty tied up from time to time.
Thanks for the note about the _sessions table— I need to poke around in the SQL stuff next time I do backup. _________________ DBCooperVO.com
