What was the muppet-like tv show that had the big green guy in a set of volcanos?

Doesn't sound right...this was a big green sarcastic monster with a little sidekick. The set had volcanoes and prehistoric kind of feel. May have been an occasional segment on the muppets or on fragle rock.

Did you mean "Dregs and Vestiges"? - used to be featured on SNL very early.

Here's a link (you'll need to watch the :30 ad that precedes):

If it was a network sitcom it probably was DINOSAURS. Short-lived. Little kid hit the dad character over the head with a skillet and said, "Not the Mama."

I LOVED the Dinosaurs! Or is it just Dinosaurs, like Eurythmics?

I'm da baby, gotta love me
big purple eyes and very cuddly
Specially when I hit my daddy with the fryin pan
(yea, I bought the Dinosaurs CD Rolls Eyes)

For a while, my two older kids did refer to their father as Not the Mama. I found that very funny.
