Trying to get some good ideas on where would be a good place
to start and learn the business, as well as equipment that may
be needed to get going and learn. Anything you can share will
be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,

There are a ton of posts regarding both training and equipment here on the VO-BB... search the archives and discover tons of little gold nuggets to help you on your tour of the world of VO.

Welcome to the forum, Rob. As our dear Mr. Frankie Toodles also mentioned, the search function is your friend (and so are we once you get used to our strange ways). You'll find a wealth of info regarding the world of VO in here, and you have a lot of reading to do. And if things are not clear, just ask us... we'll be more than happy to be of assistance!
Have fun in here... it's obligatory! |

Much more, "... it's not a job, it's an adventure"! OK, I borrowed the line from the Marines - but it works here too.
In the world of VO you will have the highest highs from little tings, and some of the lowest lows. But, you will always have something different with each piece of copy you read or script you voice.
And, YES, I have been around this for a long time -- D.B. and the cleaning crew keep having to remove the dust from head quite often.
