I bought an Echo Mia Midi sound card for my setup. I found that while using the USB interface provided by Behringer to record, I was getting this low level, high pitched "squeak". I was told it was a form of feedback, and short of not monitoring the input channel while recording, there was really no way to resolve the issue. So, I decided to purchase the Echo Mia Midi after much research here and on other sites as it appears the board is highly regarded.

Does anyone have any special tips to ensure a smooth installation and setup? I want the transition to go smoothly without problems as I am using the equipment to supply newscasts and cant have any "downtime" due to difficulties.
(I know that computers are computers and will do what you dont expect sometimes, and I am hoping nothing will happen to the PC itself)

Any installation tips will be appreciated.
Thanks

It was a few years ago when I installed my Echo Mia into my new custom-built PC, and I don't recall any issues (I was using Windows XHobo Happy. I suggest basic safety measures, like using a wrist strap to avoid static discharge.

If you are using Vista, then I can't help you with that.... but I hope Vista is compatible with the Mia - it's been around for along time.
