Take a moment to visit a television broadcast from long, long ago.

Thanks, Bob. My cheeks are sore from being stuck in a constant grin.

You know, the problem I've discovered with YouTube, is that one clip leads to another...then another...then another...then another. And they don't make it easy to stop because they post things like my stream of consciousness works. I could be there all night!

That last laugh and "yes" sure gave it away.

I played W.C. Fields in an autobiographical play my theater company did many years ago and I did a ton of research on the comedic actors of the day in preparation. Wynn was just delightfully funny and popular in his heyday.

Although Wynn had a rough start in the business when he worked with Fields. Here's the story from Wikipedia:

"In his youth, Wynn worked as an onstage assistant to W. C. Fields (in Vaudeville). Fields caught him mugging for the audience during his "Pool Room" routine and knocked him unconscious with his cue." More at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Wynn
