I'm looking for a compact desk, say, under 40" wide and in the neighborhood of 20 inches deep. The problem I'm finding is that the smaller desks don't have room on the keyboard tray for the mouse - so one is forced into motions that become tiring. I got a swell desk from Sears, which my children assembled for me yesterday while I was away, so I didn't realise until it was all put together that there wasn't room for the mouse. After a short time using it my thumb has gone numb and my shoulder aches.
The good news is that the kids so enjoyed putting the desk together, they're looking forward to the next one (haven't quite got up the nerve to ask if they'd like to disassemble this one and pack it u . I've found nothing suitable at Staples, Target, Ikea, or other Sears desks. Any idears? |

Since you like the desk, would a clamp-on mouse platform work for you? Lots of 'em out there.

Genius!! The things one doesn't think of (I had thought of rigging something, but didn't realise somebody had thought of it for me).
Thanks Don, I might just do that! |
