We've had quite a bit of snow here and late last night the temperature dropped so there was an ice hazard.

Just before midnight I took Jazz along the beach path towards the harbour, all seemed fine. In a split second my legs went from under me. Fall left - into the harbour, Fall right - onto frozen concrete. I fell right, I have bruises and a lump on my head the size of a Buick.

Just thought I'd share.

Wouldn't having a lump the size of a Buick be a conflict with Range Rover?
Glad you're ok tho.

I'm just asking

As I lay there, head spinning and body parts aching Jazz sat beside and looked down at me as if to say ....

"No rush, in your own time".

Lump sponsorship deal with Land Rover is in progress.

So that's how you negotiate.

It just occurred to me that you said you were walking Jazz at midnight. That must be one hell of a dog for you to go out in the freezing middle of the night.

That has already been established.

Jazz is a very special dog indeed. Smile Philip, I'm ever so glad you are still with us. A swim in the North Sea in February isn't likely to be a long one, at least not actively! Gasp

Oh, Philip, what a blow! Seriously, I hope your head is ok. As one who has suffered more than her fair share of concussions, I get a little anxious when it comes to head injuries. I hope the concrete is ok, too. Kiss

seriously, be careful! My Brit accent is terrible!

Wink

around here we use those Yaktrax when we wander out to the drive. They're terrible indoors on the floor, but great for walking on wet ice to head out and get the paper.

Oh my dearest Banksey.
May your head heal quickly!
That spine of yours has to hold something up!

Really....I virtually kiss it to make it feel better! Kiss

A wise choice. It's not always a good idea to choose the 'soft' option.
