Hello Mondy.
You might have a hard time selling your wares here when you don't have a reputation in the community. Tell us more about yourself and what you have to offer the fine folks of the VO-BB.

You bet, I'm Bill Mondy --- feel free to check out my website billmondy.com --- been a successful voice-over artist for about 15 years in Los Angeles until I moved to Vancouver to work on a TV series.... (on camera actor too--- feel free to check me out on IMDB) --- I have a home studio with ISDN and Source -Connect, I know your pal Steve Nafshun very well at OutOfHear and actually because of one of your posts I recently picked up his extra Sound Devices USB pre. I'm selling Audio TX because I've switched platforms to a mac (as you know it's only PC based) and now I require a stand alone ISDN unit. I'm currently the North American voice-over guinea pig for the new compact Mayah SPORTY ISDN codec. Really great, but pricey... ---- Sorry to seem under the radar, but my nature is rather low key and I'm not a big poster/blogger... Hope that clears some things up for you... I appreciate your interest, George... Feel free to get the skinny on me from Steve Smile

Those of us who know who's a top-rated talent, know exactly who Bill Mondy is---regardless of whether he posts on this board or not.

Not being snarfy; just sayin'

Thanks again, Bill B, very kind. --- I guess it's quite clear why I don't post now --- I tried to reply to your generous comment and instead started a new thread... Clearly I have no marketable skills which I why I'm destined to talk for a living....

This is my bad— I should have warned Mr. Mondy when he registered that having a sales item as a first post may not go over well. I'm glad things have worked out.

Hi Bill:

Sheesh, now I remember Steve Nafshun mentioning you and the fact that you are testing the Mayah Sporty device. My apologies if I offended in you in some way! I just know that it helps to sell expensive stuff on these forums if everyone knows you. Just wanted to increase your chances!
That's an EXCELLENT deal for an AudioTX license with ISDN hardware, and if I have any clients who need to purchase a license, I will certainly send them to you before I send them to AudioTX. Do you also offer to help someone get it working if they have trouble, or should they go to Dave at Digifon for support?

How's your experience with the Sporty going so far? It is a sexy IP codec device. I wonder how it stacks up with the Comrex Access Portable? Certainly seems more feature-rich, but more bulky.
Who do you connect with on the other end? Do you know someone who can do bridging to ISDN for you?

Definitely want to know more! You can email me if you prefer...

Thanks all... no offense taken at all... it just never really crossed my mind that I should introduce myself... forgive MY bad manners...

George, in answer to your question, my experience with the SPORTY has been great. The benefits are that it is super small and VERY sleek. I love that it recognizes any ISDN codec (haven't yet tested an APT) without setting any layers, it just intuitively figures out how you are connecting. I have not yet used it with IP, but I will test it at a later date. It is the FIRST unit in N. America so we are working out some bugs... I'll keep you posted as the progress unfolds. It does hold a lot of promise for the home voiceover artist.

In terms of assisting with setting up Audio TX, I can help a little, but I'd really rather defer to an expert like yourself or Dave Immer. That is part of the reason why I'm keeping the price down. I want the new owner to speak to and start a relationship with tech support so they have someone to call if they ever run into any difficulty. As you know, once it's up and running there's very little to get in the way...

Best,

B

Hello there, Bill. Wish I were in the market because that sounds grand.
