Hi all -
I am planning on using this mic (the 100, which I've had for a while) in my to-go setup (our own George Whittam hooked me up with a MicPort Pro and portabooth). I am going to use the little mic stand that came with my Snowball (which I don't use), but don't have shockmount. I am checking the usual places, but thought I'd ask here if anyone had one they'd be willing to sell. _________________ We have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Just a thought...
I'm now using the M600 rigid mic mount and pretty much never use a traditional shock mount anymore.
Advantages:
slightly better sound, believe it or not!
no more switching out shock mounts when switching mics
no more hassles with weak bungee cords that break (like they did on my AKG 200 Perception mount...)
Disadvantages:
Cost around $275 (but when you move up in the gear dept, you won't have to pay, say $175 for a Neumann shock mount...)
Does not work with extremely large diameter mics, can be tricky if the sides of the mic are not straight
George Whittman sells them - he's active here. _________________ Best regards,

Thanks for the idea, Tom. I'll look at that mic mount, although it is a bit out of my range at the moment.
It's all too easy to take that step, when you say "boy it'll sure come in handy later." You know, for the better mics. Gear lust.
Found out that while the local Guitar Center doesn't have any in stock, they can order them and they'll be about $22 or so. _________________ We have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Scott,
I've got a spare universal spider mount laying around. No cost - just cover the shipping and it's yours. PM me if you want it.
(P.S. If you think I'm nuts, I upgraded to a Shure KSM last year which has it's own custom shockmount. I just don't use the old one anymore.)
EDIT: Hehe... it's the one in my avatar picture <--- _________________ David Swinehart
