You guys posting no pay Voice Over work, should have a special corner of Rikers Island set up especially for you? Why, because you're stealing from performers. You're looking to make money with your project, but you're not willing to share a fair portion with talent?

May the droppings of a diseased Yak find their way into you coffee.

I love it! I wonder if this is the same person who posted on CL about a year ago that the next time someone seeking a free VO should need a plumber, he should tell the plumber that he has no money to pay for the job but he'll give him a picture of the toilet for his porfolio.

I laughed for days on that.

Regarding pay: VO is for pitch material.
If your voice is chosen for the pitch, but the show doesn't get picked up, we will give you the VO for your portfolio.
So... What if the show gets picked, and they lose your phone number?

I've encountered some Craigslist VO postings where they wanted those auditioning to record a fully-produced commercial and then send it in as their audition.

If that doesn't stink of scam, I don't know what does.
