Ok, I'll review things when they arrive but wanted to share.
I took the gig as the audio engineer for the National Guitar Workshop Camp this July and August in Purchase NY, but I wanted to keep working on various VO projects... So I need something portable.
I read through all sorts of stuff here and decided to pick up a PreSonus USB interface. Chosen because the laptop I'm taking is a Dell and all my other studio gear is Mac/MOTU based. While I was spending money I ordered a Studio Projects B-1 to complement my RE-20 and add more stuff to the mic locker.

Ok, installation on the Vista machine took some knowlege of how to force windows to do what you want, but otherwise it installed fine.
Cubebase LE4 installed and authorized without a hitch.
Microphone came in a cool box!
Now we'll test things out. wish me luck. _________________ Company, villainous company, hath been the spoil of me...

I think you're going to like the B1 - one of the best low budget mics out there. A good compliment to the RE-20. I use both, depending on which way the wind blows, on a particlar day.
My main mic is a Neumann TLM-193, it's good, but not $1400 better than the B1.
Inexpensive mics have come a long way to closing the gap with high priced German mics. _________________ www.asapaudio.com |
