I immediately opened the little white package and placed the disc on my player's tray as gently as I would handle an invaluable Smithsonian relic. Impossible to take my eyes off of the little 27 inch screen for the 2hrs+ of clip-after-clip wonder.
IMHO, it's worth the minimum $25 donation to receive this well-edited and wide-screened snapshot of the Memorial Service @ the Writer's Guilde Theater in Beverly Hills. If oyu can do it, it's worth MUCH MORE. A cool keepsake of the 800-strong standing-room-only gathering for a "Celebration of Life".
The presentation is amazing, the content is inspiring and full of voice geek collectors items like the original "Elephant Man" trailer. All the guests you'd expect with unexpected dramatics that make this DVD worthy of carrying the larger-than-life name.
If you're a fledgling voicer like me, you'll just sit in awe and soak in the vibe. If you were there-- or easily could've been welcomed by the superstars who were-- you'll surely feel the energy of your peers' amazing tribute. The memorable stories will make anyone laugh... and likely cry.
