This morning Cinda and I set out on a road trip to Greenville, SC to meet up with Pam Tierney. Why Greenville? Because Pam's visiting family in Atlanta and Greenville is half way between Atlanta and Charlotte.
We had a truly delightful visit for a few hours and had this photo taken just before we left the restaurant.
A few minutes before that photo was taken, I'd received an email from my agent in Cleveland about an audition they needed back before the end of the day. Since I anticipated that something like this might happen, I'd brought along my travel recording gear and with Cinda's help ...
... turned the back seat of my car into a recording booth. I used my anniversary gift, an application for my phone that lets me use my phone as a WiFi hotspot, to connect my laptop to the Internet, record the audition and email it back to my agent.
Then, to add the cherry on top of this whipped cream wonderful day, Cinda and I took a long, beautiful drive back home going the long way through the Blue Ridge mountains. Truly, a wonderful day! _________________ Be well,

Thanks for sharing the photos and trip details! Don't ask me why, but I'm picturing you and Cinda making Transformer sounds while you turned the car into a booth. "Autobots: transform, and roll audio!" _________________ Justin S. Barrett

Justin made me laugh. Very cool that you and Pam were able to hook up and uber cool that you are a travelin' VO kinda guy, Bob. Wasn't there a picture a few years ago of Joe Cip recording something in his car? Tip of the spear Bob!! _________________ Moe Egan

I once lived in Wayesboro, Pa (WEE0 AM in 1975) right below the villiage of Blue Ridge Summit. It literally was overthe hill and through the woods from Camp David. We got a Christmas card from the staff at Camp David. I wonder if the President listened too?
Beautiful part of the country. Glad you had a good time Bob. Let thew BSWT continue! _________________ Gregory Best

Sorry it's taken me so long to chime in on this wonderful get together I had with Bob and Cinda. It was truly a treat for me to see my buddy and finally meet his wife.
And for all you VU peeps, this photo resembles another very famous voiceoverist doing a audition from the back of his car...Joe Cip posted a very similar photo with exact same mic. I think Bob had the idea first though. _________________ Pam Tierney
