What is almost as amazing as the tornado is the fact that the rail cars did not uncouple. If they had, far greater conflagration would probably have ensued.

the tanker car uncoupled from the grain cars. it really is amazing that the blown-over cars didn't pull over the engine!

My foamer buddies tell me the camera was mounted on the rearmost of four engines on that particular train.

4 engines, huh? Musta been one helluva train.

We had a train wreck not too far from here a few years ago. A train with a single car off its trucks got to a "Y" and pulled the whole train over. Some guys were fixing a signal and had to evacuate their crane IN FRONT OF THE TRAIN.
It looks like a giant had had a tantrum and had thrown his toy train down in back of a farm along the line.
