I love taking a peek behind the scene! Seeing creatives at work is such a thrill, especially when it ends up sounding SO GOOD.

Way WAY cool. Curious...anyone know how often jingles are recorded piecemeal like that, and how often they're recorded with an ensemble?

Justin, it happens either way. I've seen it (and recorded) hundreds of times. When you want that traditional station call with big harmonies then a set of 5 voices present at the same time will do the trick. But I've done a lot of recordings using just one singer (at a time) and layer everything a couple of times.

When anyone asks me about becoming a Voice Overists I just short of shrugbecuase their isn't anyone I can show working and say this is HOW good you must be.

When people ask me about jingle/session singers I play clips of Catherine, Layla and the team. The perception is that to sing jingles you can be a lesser mortal ......... oh how deluded.
