I saw Oprah the other day and the guy behind Elmo was on.
Oprah asked him, "Elmo has made you rich huh?"
And he said, "I've done well for myself."
Although this is not strictly voice-over, I was impressed with how much his control of this puppet seems like second nature - expressing things through Elmo all the while staying completely in character vocally.
He's a seven-time Emmy Awards winner because of his work through Elmo.
I couldn't find the link on the Oprah segment (it was very short), but here's some info on the guy (and his pic):
