No complaints from me. A bit inconvenient, yes. Pretty small potatoes compared to the past few weeks in my world.
The Ciccarelli's are nice peeps who are trying hard to make a great product
even better for us. I can imagine their stress and frustration. I'm sure there won't be much rest for them this Thanksgiving. Too, bad.
They'll make it right for us in the end. |

Hey Deirdre,
From Canada? If so, whereabouts? I grew up in Presques Isle, Maine...Canadians were always a part of our community being so close to the border. My Mom grew up on a Micmac Indian reserve in New Bruswick until her early twenties.
We always had family and friends from across the border celebrate Thanksgiving with us, even though their Thanksgiving is celebrated the second Monday in October.
Let's hope the Ciccarellis with Voices.com have a better day today getting the website to the point where we'll all be Thankful. |

Quote: | I got an email notification of a lead today in my inbox - the first since the Launch. Thirteen of them actually, all for the same job, all addressed to different people, with email addresses all visible. |
Yesterday there were about 100 emails that came in over the course of 30 minutes...same thing. MAJOR Issues happening. Just sitting it out. I'll bet I know what they're working on this weekend. _________________ Bobbin Beam

I was wondering where my email notifications went. I haven't gotten any, but maybe better that than 100. They're sorting it out, I'm sure.

Nope!
Born in California, grew up in Hawaii.

I had all the same issues as anyone else - it's not hopelessly busted - but it's pretty busted over there. Given my current extracurricular activities in the VO marketplace I have been a little shy about making too many comments. I don't want to seem like I'm rubbing it in with anything I say.
I just know that it's a little on the messed up side, an it's a shame to see our membership money go for a system that may not be functioning for the foreseeable future.
I'll be sure to take and keep notes on the whole experience. _________________ "I would rather bask in the warmth of leading others to success than wander the world aimlessly telling others of my own." |

With no leads (or should I say jobs) received over the past couple of days and a voice not my own masquerading as me on my demo, I am strangely skeptical when I currently see only nine open jobs.
Is this what others are getting as the number of open male leads, jobs, whatever? _________________ --Michael

Well, I've auditioned to nine jobs in the past few days on Voices.com and so far, the system hasn't done anything like spit out 100 emails at me or anything like that. I'm just waiting to see if I get selected for the jobs or not. Hopefully, my auditions didn't end up in Alaska or anything like that. _________________ Christopher G. French

I've had most of the issues that are listed and it appears most have been cured.
Its been fun.
Just out of curiosity, has anyone seen the following message at Voices.com when trying to upload an .mp3 audition?
"The filetype you are attempting to upload is not allowed."
Thanks in advance. |

Haven't seen that and I've re-uploaded all of my demos without a problem. _________________ John Weeks Voice Overs

John -- Thanks.
Yeah, I've even tried to upload an Aud that I did a couple of weeks back and it will not upload as well. I can't even get it loaded as a demo. Something is not right.
I feel like Charlie Brown where Lucy keeps pulling the football away just as he tries to kick it.
Again, thanks.
