Oh phuque! Just read the above and have a horrible feeling it makes sense ... I'm a Post Modernist Cynic so I was being serious ironically. |

Funny... I read it and it sounded like a critique of Vogon poetry ... but was it seriously ironic, or ironically serious?
Personally, I think we should brand Liz as a silver platter carrying an international selection of the finest cheeses... each flavour distinct, refined, and a welcome delight to a jaded palate.

I think we should consider presenting PB with and honorary PhD in BS, not to be confused with Bob's personal brand BS. _________________ Gregory Best

I would resent the implication that Bob's personal brand is BS were I not laughing quite so much ![Laugh](images/smiles/laugh.gif) |

So is my Brand what I am?
Or what I appear to be?
I've worked for years to hide my faults
Behind a facade you see.
But perception being all.
I'm not short ...I'm really tall.
You'll win just by hiring me
So cough up the session fee.
Branded..marked as the man who ran
What do you do when you're Branded
And you're searching for a fan.
My Branding says I'm Voice Of God
My Demo has a squeak
So do not spare the rod
Or turn the other cheek.
Say honestly you cannot know
Movie Trailors are my thing
I can barely do an ADR
And cannot dance or sing.
I have not had a teacher
Or won a P2P
But I just need to be Branded
For all the world to see.
For with the Holy Branding
My image will be set
I'll beat out Cipriano
And never be in debt.
Hey group....the thread just seemed to take a Lewis Carroll kind of feel there for me. _________________ There are rules to the Universe. Learn them and prosper. www.HumbleVoiceover.com |

Okay, this post is officially awesome! You know, I just finished up this MS in Entertainment Business and we had a whole freaking class on Branding. I even still have the textbook for it "22 Immutable Laws of Branding" by Al and Laura Reis.
From what I gather, Branding, as was stated before, IS complicated. If people get to know your work and like your work, you get publicity. If that publicity turns into more work, you get bigger and better publicity. SOMEWHERE in there promotion happens and publicity keeps building and building and building until the point when your business becomes synonomous (I think that's how it's spelled) with quality VO. That's a brand in a nutshell. At least that's what I remember of what I was taught.
As far as naming a VO buisness, I'm going with Chris French Voiceworks. I think it has a nice ring, and it's only four syllables. _________________ Christopher G. French
