Hey Lee... I wouldn't worry about it too much. There are two types of pictures here... the down'n'dirty, and the I'm cleaning this crap up if I'm taking a picture...

Neil should have insisted on candid pictures not posed model shots... and I'm sure there's been some photoshop touch-ups here as well Smile

Yeah, Peter's right.

But now I feel bad. I really should have cleaned the place up before I took those shots...sorry.

Yeah, I was working on photoshopping my mics to make them look like Neumanns.

I've had a lifetime of crap and junk creeping into every corner. The new studio is now my attempt at clean living. Admittedly, I will have an office space in the next room that will be a little more...er...flexible when it comes to tidiness. Smile

Now I'll air my laundry... so to speak.

The MB closet in our place was accessable from both sides via heavy sliding mirror doors.

Some years ago I decided to make changes. Widen it a bit and frame and drywall the sides.
Turned it into a walk-in closet... (interior) 6' wide X 7' deep X 8' high.

I then discovered it had potential VO uses.

Even a hobbyist needs a place to play.

The closet transformation was not that expensive. And for recording purposes, it's just move-in... move-out. All cables run on the floor to the front bedroom.
Wink
... and the AT2035 works just fine.

This is my gazillionth studio...and only the second one to make it past the year mark! The best part is it's 13th floor location and the awesomeness of being suite 1313...thereby forcing me to call it Studio 13Thirteen.

Equipment:

27" iMac i7
Macbook Pro i7
Neumann TLM103
Lawson L47FET
Apogee Mic
Zephyr
Focusrite pre
Mackie Mixer
Samson Resolv A5 monitors
Adorable puppy

See...Philip and I have a similar accessory!

It's a 10x12 room, ATS Acoustics bass traps in the corners and their acoustic panels and a bit of foam throughout the room, plus a PVC frame supporting a quilt cloud overhead... by far the best sounding room I've had. You can kinda see my Senn 416 in the upper right of pic 3... it goes into my latest purchase, the blue Focusrite ISA430 Mk II in pic 2 (replaced the dbx 286a above it... the dbx was/is great but the ISA has been a significant upgrade), which I run into a Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 (not pictured). The big monitors are Yamaha HS80Ms, modded by Zen Pro audio (total overkill for v-o, but I do a lot of music production and sound design work)... the smaller monitors w the yellow cones are B&Ws that I rarely use anymore, though for production I highly recommend the little Avantone MixCube atop the left Yamaha that I use as a mono check... if mixes sound good on both the Yamahas and mono'ed in the MixCube they'll translate well pretty much anywhere.

(edited to fix links to pics)
