You know, the "transatlantic" voice that's a mix of American and British. Or do you sound like you're a proficient English speaker from somewhere in Europe but no one can figure out where? Ulf?
Anyway, talent agent Erik Sheppard is looking for you ASAP. If you've got a demo that shows your nebulously accented talent, send it to him soon as you can.

I love the way people spoke back in the 30s. That accent was so classy and beautiful, sonorous and musical. It was the early Americas when the original British accent had not yet altogether fashioned itself into a more melting potted accent. |

Thanks for the shout-out to Ulf, Bruce - that's exactly him. Vaguely European...or the vague European?
He's in touch with Erik. We'll see... |

I second that! I like the wat English sounded back then! Never knew how to describe that sort of a dialect - sounds classy and rich! _________________ Best,

It was an aspirational accent. Actors were expected to be able to do it when needed. I think there is a place for heightened speech, though it's terribly out of fashion in these "I'm lower class, and thus cooler, than you!" days. Less aspiration, more frustration at one's origins seems to be the rule of the epoch. _________________ Jack Daniel

That’s a patois if I ever heard one.
