I found this video for a simple and inexpensive way to make fairly attractive sound panels for your room or booth. Have fun!

It's been a while since I saw this one. What always struck me about that video was that he had one of them hanging behind him and I wondered if that was the only one because the room he was recording in didn't sound like it had much else to absorb bouncing sound. Otherwise, towels are a nice way to get started given their inexpensive accessibility at thrift shops.

The biggest thing I’ve learned about acoustics for VO is you don’t have to cover huge amounts of wall space. Interrupting sound bounce rather than soaking up every bit of loose sound is the key.

Just a note for the peanut gallery.

Mostly effective on the upper mids (much less effective at 500 Hz and below); but certainly better than nothing.
