Ralph,
You're only off by a couple of decades. Thanks for the good laugh, though. Along with Maiku's wife, and these that you've listed, I know of at least 2 other December 20th birthdays. One is the pastor of my church when I lived in Chicago in the 80s and the other is the daughter of one of my best friends. _________________ Be well,

Bob,
My wish for you to have a great B-day and many more.
I hope there's an opportunity to celebrate it with friends and family and take a pause in your labors.

Well, We (read: my Mom and I ) were able to surprise my Dad by trying to invite several Charlotte based VO-BBers. Sadly, coming up with the idea the night before one's birthday is quite short notice, but Mr. Haymond and Kara Edwards and her husband were able to join us for dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. It was a wonderful time and the hours just flew by (we were there for three hours!). Miss Edwards was smart enough to remember to bring a camera (a very neat camera btw.) and we got two shots of the group at the very end. We then proceeded to talk outside, standing right in front of the door for a few minutes. We stopped talking when my Dad practically dragged my Mom away from talking with Kara.
In the car going home my Mom said it was the most fun she's had in years. Course, she's a stay-at-home mom with three kids, and homeschooling all three of us. It really was a wonderful time though and I can't wait to do more of these kinds of things in the future.

Let me start off by saying I now know why Bob is such a happy man...his family is TERRIFIC! Yes, Cinda and I could have talked all night, and I was ready to adopt Bob's boys by the end of the evening. (Hopefully I'll be able to meet his daughter next time, she was traveling and couldn't be there)
It was wonderful to see Brian Haymond (he and my husband could have competed with Cinda and I in a chatting contest!).
Here are a few photos from Bob's wonderful dinner:
From left to right: Brian Haymond, my husband Chris, me, Eric, David, Bob, Cinda, and Brian.
The second shot:
David took this, I was the only one who smiled
Final picture...see, Bob did get his ice cream and whipped cream!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB!!!! We had a wonderful evening!!! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

I like the effect on Brian's (my little bro) jacket. |

There are a few pictures of him without a tie, but they are usually in a white dress shirt sans the tie or in a polo shirt. I'm fairly sure he even wears a tie on "casual Friday" |

What a wonderful evening we had. Thank you Kara, Chris and Brian for going so far out of your way to help make this a truly special birthday. It was so very nice to see you and to introduce you all to my family.
Which leads me to this invitation:
One year from today, December 20, 2008 will be my double-nickel (55th) birthday. While we were chatting after dinner, we thought let's start planning now that on that day, we'll have a combination birthday and Christmas party at our house here in Charlotte, NC. Anyone who wishes to visit Charlotte next December is invited and welcome to come to our party. Just, please so Cinda can plan, let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you're going to be here. _________________ Be well,

Bob, you didn't tell us little Brian was a superhero. Either that, or his jacket is radioactive! _________________ Mary |

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but Eric is wearing the VO-BB t-shirt that I gave him as a birthday gift earlier this year. Deirdre, I'm so glad you've provided us with that Swag shop! _________________ Be well,
