I think I found the place the same way Diane M. did. I was a tad intimidated at first...I honestly don't know why! But you all were so nice and helpful to me.
Would you guys think I was a great big geek if I told you that this board has changed my life? That I've met a higher concentration of my favorite-people-in-the-world here than in any other place, real or imaginary?
No? You too? Good. _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

I found this place because a cyberfriend recommended it to me. I was told we could eat cake here.

If I remember correctly, someone posted a link on the Cyberstation shortly before it went kaput. That's how I ended up here.
This really is a great community of wonderful folks!
Thanks so much Deebs for making it happen...and for putting up with us all! :) _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Every morning I would start my day with a cup of coffee and the Cyberstation. Then one day it wasn"t there.
I received a email inviting me and other VOs to this BB. I signed up right away.
Over the last 4 years it has brecome an oasis where we drink from the well of knowledge offered unselfishly by other folk with the same goals. Thank you Deebs for taking on this task and offering a home for all.
Happy Anniversary!!
Off topic I started checking the internet for sites on VO's back in the 80s and one of the few web sites was Connie's . So congratulations to Connie for her foresight. _________________ A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. |

I found this groovy place via a search for online networking opportunities. I was surprised to find so many friendly and supportive people! That was 2 1/2 years ago. The VO-BB has and will always give me both inspiration and comfort.

early to the roster, late to this thread.
i found the cyberstation by dumb luck, and was lucky enough to get word of this "lifeboat" when sam's site started to spring a leak. it's one of the best things that's happened to me. no hyperbole.
the new friends i've made...the help i've received and the things i've learned...the encouragement of just being in contact with other people who "get it"...this board and its divine mistress have gotten me through some pretty low times and helped me celebrate the good ones.
one of my annual new year's resolutions is to contribute to the cost of running the vo-bb. it's about the only one i ever keep.
thank you, db, for a safe haven and a fun place to escape to.

I was one of the first few...number 22. I remember the voiceover cyberstation. I was just starting to consider coming back to voice over and found it. I think I was there for about 4 or 5 months then one day it went down and this time it didn't come back. It had lot's problems as I recall. When it didn't come back up I wrote to someone I had talked to a couple of times there and asked what happened. I was told about the VO-bb then. The rest is..
I almost forgot. I was told there would be refreshments. Are there going to be refreshments?

Me too. Yep...been almost 2 years now. This place seriously rocks, and so do the inmates. I am somehow sucked in like a moth to a flame. hawhaw.DB- Thank you for everything you do.

I found this place about 3 1/2 years ago when I did a random search. Browsed a bit, like what I saw, then asked for permission to join. Been loving it ever since Thanks Deebs
