Yes, that's right, finally it's here! The Voiceoverist School Of Business.

If I can answer your business related questions I will. If not I'm sure someone else may know the answer.

While Philip's credentials speak for themselves (literally), anyone who's wondering about them should refer to the new auto-signature below his posts for confirmation.

Nice touch, Philip!

Professor Banks,

I realize sacks of cash are the preferred method of payment for voice work, but I'm wondering if sacks of gold, diamonds, or oil might hold their value better. Please advise on the type of sacks I should be requesting from clients.

Sincerely,
Compensationally-Confused in California

Dear Compensationally-Confused in California,

Sacks of gold ONLY gold. Ironically gold is priced in US dollars which are worthless but everyone is too polite to say. Having said that the dollar is underwritten by a strong economy, China's.

VO pay should be in gold or chow mein delivered in pastel coloured sacks.

Dear Professy,

Can the rural man receive his gold in the form of oxen? If so, what is the going oxen quantity for a national commercial for McDonalds on a 1 year run?

Sincerely,
Stupidly Studious

Dear VO SOB:
Why do I need to know anything about business?
I'm an artiste and have been told I possess a great voice and
besides I love the sound of my voice.
Won't the jobs and the money naturally and automatically
flow to me with little or no effort.
You're confusing me. Didn't I tell you I'm an artiste?
I can't be bothered by marketing, bookkeeping and other such
tedious endeavors.
I believe you're scamming me. I don't want to hear that tripe anymore
and want nothing more to do with you.
Good day, sir!
