Well this is one of those rare occasions when it's OK to talk and talk during a movie! Nice notice, Mr. Philip.

Nice indeed!
This process must've been exceedingly difficult and exhausting—I can only imagine.
Think you'll ever want to see the film again? _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

The audio description took around 5 and a half hours. It's a testimony to the quality of the film that I am able to say that I look forward to seeing it in one lump with interruptions.
Tomorrow amongst other things I have to do a TV promotion for ..........
Jerry Springer. I bring shame upon my family and the Voice Talkers Guild. |

I couldn't stop laughing or continue reading after this quote:
"Most of the stuff I do is utterly pointless..." he said.
Love that quote! _________________ - Peter

Great work Philip... very commendable!
Royal National Institute for the Blind one day... Jerry Springer the next. That's about as wide a spectrum as I've ever seen. _________________ "Bailey"

That reminds me of that old song "Garden Party" "You can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself" Now I'm really confused....
Since we are our own worst critics, if we do our work well enough to please ourselves won't most everyone else will be pleased as well?
Note: may or may not apply to seasoned veterans only, results may or may not be typical, actors were hired to potray actual living people, objects in the mirror may or may not reflect a true and honest image, you can be anything or anyone on the internet, something had to come first whether it be chicken and or egg. |

Here's another quote from a VO guy in Indiana ... Bob Barnes. He was featured in an article in the Herald-Press from Huntington County Indiana.
“In this business you're not an artist, you're more of a craftsman,” You do your work to sell it to people; a true artist doesn't do that. I'm not here to please myself.”

Quite right. That's why my favourite thing is still a Post-it note with the phrase "It's not about me" written on it. |

let me 'splain my comments a little further.
"It's not about me" Tells me....I'm not doing this for me...it's not to inflate my ego...it's not about getting a star on the hollywood walk of fame etc..it's about the passion that drives you to give it your best and your all each and every time... You have to be pleased with what you are doing...or there is no passion there.
Hope that makes sense. If not, will someone loan me a shovel and I'll just dig myself a little deeper and throw the dirt in over me. However, I couldn't agree more..it's not about me... |
