Help! I've been asked for my rate for a :30 and :15 for VO a prefeature promo for a local business, to run prior to the main attraction, at theatres across the valley. WOW!! I don't have a rate and don't want to blow this one given the exposure. There are 59 screens and 4 theatres. I've inquired as to the flight schedule and on how many screens it will run, and how often. The producer would have me voice from my studio (phew! I can stay in my bunny slippers) but this is beyond the realm of anything I've done in terms of the application. Again, help. A shot in the dark...it will probably be seen/heard by less people than a TV spot so I'd consider something between your local radio and TV VO rates.

Thanks, Bruce. That's a good start. The producer forwarded my questions to the AE (!!) and added this nugget:
>>There's one other little detail I forgot to mention. She wants it by 10 am
tomorrow.<<

I was going to give feedback similar to Bruce's. A tad higher than the going radio rate in your market would be my best guess. Or you can do what I did today:
Client: Copy attached! Let me know what you'd like for the job.
Amy: What do I want for these spots? I want a Brinks truck to back into my
driveway. But that might not happen. The real question is, what's your budget?

I knew that, Amy!! (That's why I called you.) Here's what I said, as my last question about the project:
>>And, of course, do you have a ballpark figure in mind? I think a Brinks truck full of money ought to do it (kidding!).<<
Thanks for that, Ames. I am a thief. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!
