I just wanted to use the word "prototype" on the board today... How often do you get to do that??
Anyhoo, my photoshop friend has been busy again. Any reaction to this business card? I left my address off since I'm nomadic by nature.

This of course is taken from the original logo design from a few months ago.

I like it Tom. Very consistent with your site branding. |

I'm concerned about the size of the type for your contact info.
These images are way huge-- 300 dpi.
Net resolution is 72.
I'd be interested to see what they look like Actual Size.

Are these cards going to have the white border that is part of the design currently?
I like the motif, the shades of grey, and the website match.
Sharp and distinct. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

They're done with an Adobe PS template that you upload to VistaPrint. I'm assuming the borders are there. Looks like the backgrounds may have to be expanded to kill the border. |

K
Expanded background to lose the border. Made contact info larger. Dropped file size and resolution.

Hi
From my experience of having business cards made up, its a good idea to have a lamination on the front. Don't do what I did and have both sides done.....as the first person I proudly gave one to said., 'Oh dear, how can I write more details and contacts on the back.. Ooooops. Lamination on the front does a great job of keeping tha cards looking nice and tidy until (and after) you hand them over.
Great looking card though. _________________ www.davidmonteath.com

I think it's a pretty darn snazzy prototype. _________________ Greg Littlefield

Looks good here, Tom.
The phone numbers and stuff are nice and legible, and should be even to eyes older than mine. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

i like the "stark-ness" of it - and i love the shades of gray. i'm thinking a really high gloss stock - what we used to call in the publishing biz "super-blacky" 100% black with 60% magenta added - don't ask me how - but it's different (and cool) ('course that prolly only works in process printing - not digital). and although the double sided thing is great - many people DO want to write on the back ... _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

I'm thinking high-gloss too.
Thanks again for the feedback folks! |

Looks great to me, love the consistency of brand.
the only thing I might re-consider, and I'm unsure of it, but based on a previous post, is (is that convoluted enough?) making the backside white, in case someone does want to jot a note on it. But that might or might not be an issue.
and yes on the lamination. I've had some cards done with it and they have held up really well. |
