1 Hal Douglas, warmth and mischief
2 - Jenny Dunbar, pure scottish smoulder
3 - Yeardley Smith for knowing that Lisa Simpson lives
4 - Alexis Korner(deceased) for planting a voice over seed in me over 30 years ago.
5 - Kara Edwards for adding life, sparkle and innocence to any read.
7 - Matt Stone. The genius behind Kenny McKormick who is amongst the best voice overs around and probably doesn't even know he is one.
8 - Elisa Canas. Young, gifted, British and unaffected.
9 - Bill Mitchell(deceased). Read out loud and made a living.
10 - D B Cooper. Fantasy becomes reality when the listener can't tell the difference.

I like

Jim Dale. Life to the printed word, and pronunciation lessons for Americans.
George Guidall. dang. He makes ANY BOOK he reads the most fascinating and poingnant thing.
Kathleen Turner. I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way.
Doug Paulson. The Midas touch— all the words are golden.
Anthony Mendez. any more heat and New York would go up in flames.
Must include Philip Banks, even though it looks like I'm sucking up. Banksey makes me want to sell my video games and buy a BMW.
...and Penn Jillette, even though he's not really a VO all the time. I remember the old days of Comedy Central.

Speaking of Jim Dale, the American "Harry Potter" reader, he does quite a bit of narration for a new TV show called "Pushing Daisies". I find the show a bit of a yawn, but it's sure nice to hear his voice several times an episode.

I'll have to work on my "favorite voice" list a bit more. I've got way too long a list for the moment.
