"Power Salad's Cream Cheese Library" is going to be on Dementia Radio tonight at 9pm EST. You can listen using Winamp, Windows Media or other MP3 player that will play a live MP3 stream. Paste this URL into your player:
http://dementiaradio.org:8027 for broadband
http://dementiaradio.org:8000 for dialup
Or you can go to the Dementia Radio website at www.dementiaradio.org and click the Listen link.
Lots of fun and strange music coming up tonight. I'll be featuring the true founders of punk, The Monks (www.the-monks.com - Americans working in Germany who discovered feedback, dressed like monks 24/7 and played hard yet fun beat music! With electric banjo in their lineup no less!!!), as well as lots of funny songs from members of the Funny Music Project (www.thefump.com) and lots of other artists from 1918 to 2008.
I started the show in 2000, was off from 2002 to 2008, and started up again this year. Should be fun, so please tune in! Thanks!

No doubt - now revered as the previously-unknown Grandfathers of Punk and Inventors of Feedback. The nursery-rhyme lyrics, the mad organ, the scratching banjo, the fuzzed-up bass and pounding drums, all the while mugging goofily in their monk robes and half-shaved heads...Punk that is still halfway to beat music. Hard to believe this was 5 ex-American GIs in Germany in 1965-66!!! HIGHLY recommended. www.the-monks.com
I'll be hitting some tracks from their only German LP "Black Monk Time" (never released in US til recently), as well as lots of other weird items. _________________ Chris Mezzolesta, Voice Talent
