I've been asked to do some phone interviews and I have Skype. I checked out some of their aHobo Tounges and the voice recorders cost a few bucks. Has anyone recorded Skype conversations and if so, using what program? Would Audio Highjack work?

Tom,

I'm not sure but I think a search of the Gear or Chat archives will yield some threads about recording Skype calls.

Bless your heart Todd, but I have absolutely no idea what you just said!

I did some digging and I found three free Skype recorders for PC:

MX Skype Recorder
Power Gramo
Skype Recorder

Does anyone have experience with any of these programs?

There is also "Pamela Recorder" for Skype.

As for MXSkype, great program.

Be sure to set any of these programs to "Save sound in Stereo mode" which records the audio on separate tracks of a stereo file. This way you are able to edit the audio much easier.

Toodles
