I'll try the Speyside straight up, it sounds good.

I've been nursing a bottle of home made whiskey a friend of the family makes that is better than Jack D. It's a sipping drink....oh so smoooothh.

The music is composed by John Barry, but I'd be hard-pressed to know which movie that particular rendition is from. Sounds like some easy listening band performing a cover.

Ah, you young pups. That's the theme from the movie "Midnight Cowboy" (early, big film for Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight) , and yes it's a cover of a John Barry composition. Here's a link to the original in case you're curious:
