Greetings
SaVoa is and does remain viable. It was placed in Cryonic Suspension and I forgot to tell the world. It’s my fault and I am digging out of it.
SaVoa is still a legal organization.
SaVoa is still chartered in NC.
Any money paid to SaVoa is in escrow.
All application data is still on file, if we indeed got it via e-mail.
Persons who have applied and not heard will get an e-mail or a private call.
I have learned a lot in the past few months. Most notably, it is never a good thing to try to do more than can be reasonably done. Surly some one uttered those words before, I just didn’t believe them. I fell prey to the, I can do that, mentality. I thought I could juggle running for state office and do my weekly radio program and maintain the day to day of SaVoa.
I could not do it. Too many things to do:
Every time I turned around there was an event to go to, hands to shake and so on.
Every time I open my E- mail not only did I have SaVoa mail but mail from both candidates for President who wanted my help, err I mean donation. I became a new found friend to all manner of other candidates. Every conceivable organization wanted me to fill in a lengthy survey. It was a lot of work and for a job that pays very little.
During the election all manner of reporting was required. I still have a meeting on Thursday with the State Board of Elections to show them that I didn’t make a mistake in my reports and that they in fact failed to record some document correctly.
Now add all the above with a concurrently running Federal Law Suit I was involved in. When the judge says be there you have to be there. I sued someone and it’s settled about three day ago. Now I am rich. At least to me it’s rich.
With all the above activity going on I put SaVoa in Cryonic Suspension in order to keep all the data and information safe. Again I didn’t tell the Board and that was my fault.
One last thing, all during the campaign, and the law suit I was not generating any money for my household. Needless to say I had to turn a hand to replenishing the bank account.
I know now that I have a limit of things I can do at any one time. My only focus today, Tue and Wed is to get up with those folks that are owed a reply because they are deeper into the application process. To those who applied and are waiting you will also get a reply soon.
Finally I apologize to the SaVoa Board, the Members and all Applicants. Just like the scene in “The Polar Express” we will get the train back on the track and up to full steam.
Regards

Thanks Michael, for the kind words.
Relative is a good way to put it. I once told a friend of mine that I thought I was going crazy. His reply was “don’t pack a lunch for you it’s not a long trip”.
I have been reading prior post about SaVoa and thought an additional Up Date might be in order. Contrary to some comments, damage control to the Dinghies was successful, the SaVoa boat still floats. I’m ex Navy and we were taught to improvise.
We have as of yesterday, posted eight new accredited SaVoa members to our roster.
Lori Furth
Karen Saltus
Mike Cooper
Rafe Sampson
T David Rutherford
Fred Meseck
Anthony Richardson
Debbie Irwin
We are pleased to have these new members. These new appointments put us at eighty five (85) total. There are several others in process.
SaVoa never acknowledges who has applied and who has not meet Peer Review standards. We only acknowledge those who have been added to the roster.
If you have attempted to contact SaVoa and not gotten a reply please try again. Along the way there have been some failures with our e-mail system. It is for sure that some messages did not get through to us. We don’t want anyone to feel that they have been ignored.
I am humbled and in wonderment regarding SaVoa. I appreciate all the concern and comments posted. Some comments are obviously from an Edison point of view and others are from a Tesla point of view.
In closing this Up Date, I think Good Will, Friendship, and Prosperity for All, are good things to have and wish one to the other.

PS, DB I hope you have power, I have lived through some big blizzards in S.E. Pennsylvania and though it seem strange, several ice storms in North Carolina. Ice is the big bummer. An extra helping of asa lama lakum to you madam for all you do for this board. _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"

Well I hope all these people get a discount since they were left in the dark about their status. Because these people just need those pieces of paper or certificate or whatever it is that org does.
85? Wow. Can you name them all still?

It's good to see you back on deck, Ed!
I hope things return to normal for you as soon as possible.
A little anarchy and chaos can be fun as an occasional recreational pursuit, but I wouldn't recommend it as a lifestyle.
Cheers!
