VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

It looks like it was SO MUCH FUN!!! I wish the pics had names associated with them... I could only read some of the nametags.

So, while looking at the pics, I say, "Hey, I know that woman... wait... that's my OLD roommate from when I lived in NYC!!"

One of the women in attendance who happened to have her pic taken was a woman I met by searching for apartment shares in the Village Voice, and I ended up living with her for two years!!! That was 10 years ago! Seeing the pic prompted me to look her up and send her an email (she is/was an actress, but mainly a freelance editor for some big time publishers when we lived together.)... what a small world! It would've been really funny had I gone to the mixer!

I was sporting red...as in the nasty and rare cold sore sprouting on my lower lip...but, see...even facial disfigurement (yes, I admit to my actor's waning vanity) couldn't keep me away from THE event of the NY VO Season and a pic with the bewitching and soulful Diane Havens, a barside chat en francais with the intoxicating cocktail that is Liz de Nesnera, and a long, slow, brimming eyeful of the Iberian-tongued Melissa Exelbreth...there's not a VO guy this side of the Mississippi who could ask for anything more (although I did win an ebook in the raffle...)

Wow! Looks absolutely fabby, people. 'Jealous....but it looks like we're having a big meet-up here in Vegas around the end of February.

Apparently all the James & Penny alumni are having an impromptu, and I plan to be there.

That's NYC for ya, Diane. Black is required in your wardrobe.

When I moved from NYC to FL, my hubs forbid me to wear black, grey, khaki or army green, which were staple colors in my closet. Smile
