Still shopping around and have found a pretty sweet price on an Audio Technica 835b.
Has anyone used this mic? Any impressions you could pass my way? _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

I've used many AT shotguns recording field audio and I like them, but I wouldn't use this one for VO, and it's not going to sound great. I really dislike "long throw" shotguns for voice over. If I want a more directional mic, I use a short shotgun or an SDC before I reach for a long throw shotgun. I find that shotgun mics also don't help lower the noise floor...they just pick up more in one direction over a longer distance. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover
