Hey! It looks and sounds great. BUT...

Some folks don't have Flash. Not because they're luddites, but because they're behind corporate firewalls - a lot of IT guys don't like Flash on the system, so that could potentially stop some folks dead at the front page. If you're using Flash for a full front page, I'd make sure the first thing that loads, before the Flash content, is a standard HTML line saying "Click here for non-Flash version".

Also, and this is personal preference, I wouldn't make audio play automatically when the front page loads. This annoys the hell out of me (nothing worse than sitting in a quiet office, or with partner sleeping in the next room, and getting a blast of something you weren't expecting!)

For looks and whizziness though, I think it's right on the money. I'd buy one...

Mike

I think you F-ing rock!!! Very talented! Great demos! Impressive!!!

I like your site as well! Love the voice print loading!!

As for having sound on the homepage, some do find that annoying. I myself have sound coming up after my home page is loaded. Sorry to those who find it annoying, I like it. My Mom likes it. My agents like it. Wink

I couldn't find it, but if you offer a "sound off" button as an option, folks who don't want to hear it won't have to.

As for flash, most buyers and agents have flash. I think you are fine! And those that don't?? I wouldn't worry about em. They just miss out on your very cool, slick site. Though, Mike's suggestion about a non flash option is darn good, too!!

Great work!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, you takes your pick. A lot of what you've got there can happen in newer versions of HTML, though.

Oh, and iPhones won't load it, if "being down wiv da kids" is any use Wink

Jeff,

Beautiful site. Easy to navigate and as Bob has pointed out, your stuff is terrific.

thank you guys for all your insight and critique...it really helps me figure out if I'm heading in the right direction. This has been a thing in the works for a few years now but I'm finally to the point where I feel my product is decent enough to throw out there (plenty of fine tuning is needed though!)

quick ?...any ideas on where to advertise? I'm leaning toward Allaccess but wondering if email marketing might be better...this should prob be submitted on another topic or thread but oh well...

again...thx for looking at my site and the kind words!

May I be honest? It's a good thing you have the audio automatically play. Why? Because I thought you were a hot chick. Maybe you are a hot chick with a deep voice and a quirky name. I don't know. Usually, the image displayed on one's site or logo will give the viewer an insight as to what they are expected to receive. Are you a hot chick?

Other than that...the site and demos rock.

Go for Allaccess, FMQB and Radio and Production.

Best of luck.

Dan

Dan,

That actually made me laugh out loud! Unfortunately, no...I'm not a hot chick. But my web guy convinced me to put one on my home page to capture visitors attention...albeit for however long...

If anything...he was right once Laugh

Thanks though for checking it out and giving me your opinion!

Nice job
Easy to get around and right to the point as Bob already said maybe a sound off button but other wise you rock and so does the site.

"quick ?...any ideas on where to advertise? I'm leaning toward Allaccess but wondering if email marketing might be better...this should prob be submitted on another topic or thread but oh well..."

As a large market radio Hobo Laughing for over twenty years, I can tell you that the main place I always looked for a new station voice was through The William Morris Agency on voice bank dot net. AllAccess would be ok for smaller market stations. But, the image voice jobs that pay well are through reputation.

Radio is such a copycat business... "I want the guy who is on KISS in Boston".
Find out who is on the major market stations. Listen to their demos. Whether it's rock, chr, or country, and try to develop the currently fashionable sound. YOU can then provide that sound to smaller markets less expensively than the major market guy.

You can email small and medium market stations your demo. Be clever.
You might hit somebody at the right time.

Nice website. Best of luck.

Honestly? You have a tasteful picture of an attractive woman listening to you who is cool and very now on you site.

You get the Blue Ribbon. Well done.

Oh, and I'd hire you, too.

I really appreciate the kind words and for you taking the time to look at the site...I really can't take credit for the pictures being on there...that was my web guy's quick thinking...but I think from the reaction of those who've visited...he was dead on...thanks again Lance and best of luck in ATL!!!

FYI---I was really hoping the Falcons would be playing next weekend instead of the Cards...but hey...looks like you got a good thing going for a couple of years!

Thanks Jeff, all the best to you too.

I'm originally from Boston, and now The Falcons have The Patriots' GM and Boston College's QB...should be a lot of fun. We can't help ourselves but come down here and cause a big ruckus.
