Greetings voice trekkers:
Sorry if i'm duplicating a post about this some time back,
-not sure if it was on this forum or not- but am looking for a
good, reasonably priced designer to update my aging website;
ideally someone with a solid knowledge of contemporary
VO marketing, and a strong portfolio of sites for established
VO pros. Of course I'd expect a good understanding of
audio/video media integration using the most appropriate
playback methods/format(s).
Feel free to post referrals or PM me as well. I may have updated
demos in time for the final upgrade but if not, at least I'd like to
get the ball rolling on a fresh new design and discuss the logistics of
moving forward.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to hearing from you!
Best Regards,

These guys can do anything!! My partners. They did my very simple site, but as you'll see on their site - anything is possible. They'll work within most
reasonable budgets.

I had the guy that designed Neal E. Boyd's (America's Got Talent Winner) design my site...not for that reason...but anyway...I was very pleased with what he turned out
www.augustineaudio.com
The guy was incredible as far as getting the site completed...I think it was completely done in 3 weeks...and that was only because he was waiting on me usually to send the info to him.
And all I can say is he was EXTREMELY budget friendly...
Here's a link to his site:

PM me for more info...hope this might help |

I myself personally am a top pro web designer and have been for over 20 years. I have worked for some of the top pro broadcasters, video game producers and REALLY REALLY BIG corporations .... You'd be impressed if I named them. Only recently I contributed to some national sites and have contributed also to some international sites. I also polish Walruses in my spare time, it's a tusk job but someone's gotta do it (moment of humour there).
Please note - Philip Banks is a rotten fibber and has never designed a web site in his life. This is just his way of dealing with his deep seated anger issues at the way some voice artists present themselves when their experience would in truth only impress a bi-polar Fruit Bat with a limp, a drink problem and a Lindsay Lohan buttock phobia. |

You'll find a lot of great web designers on this board (DB, Lou, etc.)
I used Village Green Studios (www.villagegreenstudios.com) and love my site!
Another up and comer I've done some work with is http://www.involutionmedia.com/. [the site is still being built] Their flash animations are amazing...and I also think the site's mascot, Madeline, has a stellar singing voice!
(Yes, I did just manage to shamelessly plug my voice work- and I only feel a little bit bad about it.) _________________ Threadjackers local 420

hmm, i looked at village green. nice art, but really.. each site is a basic four-link template. 1 cutesy cover-page with an animatic theme with four buttons, one to a bio paragraph, one to a :contact page" one back to the "home page"
you're on, and one to "demo" -
seems pricey for what it really is... i guess i can use it as a model for doing it myself for maybe, a thousand or so less ; )
contrary views welcome

You've been given a number of options. Some are going to be more pricey than others, so balance "you get what you pay for" with "caveat emptor". _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Hey Mike,
I respect your opinion. Personally- I don't think my site fits any cookie cutter mold, I like what Jason did with it. Of course, it hasn't been updated in forever (my fault!), which is a new year's goal of mine.
DB is right. Lots of options, lots of price differences. If you are good at creating websites- that seems like a good option as well!
I wish you the best of luck! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Is that the hosting only or does it include the creation of the site? _________________ DBCooperVO.com

If you're cheap like me, you might just want to get Dreamweaver and a book and figure out how to make a basic page yourself! That's what I did. I know just enough about PhotoShop to get by, and I learned each little HTML or CSS technique only as I needed to.
Every time I think "I wish my page did X," I just Google around for a tutorial on X and make it happen. Whatever you do though, don't ever look at the source code of my home page!
Yesterday I got all brave and figured out how to embed Blogger on my homepage, including cool scrolling action, to make it easier for me to do quick little updates from any machine-- great for when I'm on the road! I figure if I can hack together a basic page, pretty much anyone can! _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

DB, that cost is the hosting plus the CMS (Content Management System) that allows the client to update their content whenever they want to. It's an integrated system. _________________ Lou Zucaro
