What do you need to download and edit flash videos? I'd like to download something and then drop my own audio in.

Thanks!

I download them with Real player, then change the extension of the file to .avi and edit in Adobe Premiere.
Probably not the easiest, but it works.

Melissa,

If you use Firefox, check out this add-in ...

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006

... which gives you the ability to download flash files. You can then convert to the file format you want and re-edit to your heart's content.

So I just downloaded Devo's "Whip It" from youtube using the Add-On, and then imported the video into AA3 and then sung my own Karaoke version over it and then saved the file...worked like a charm. Only thing is that it saves a Download Helper Logo in the top left corner unless you pay $28.50 for full registration, which seems to be worth it...to make homemade Devo Videos! Smile

I didn't post it because I forgot how intentionally offensive the video was...but here's the audio from the session with a special guest appearance by Boston's own Mark Sully.

And since this is the gear page, it's a TLM 103>Speck 5.0 with the transformer off>Echo AudioFire2.

Another great firefox extension for that is DownloadHelper. I was using it for a while before I found out, you can actually save files in various formats, instead of flash. Although, I would not recommend converting while downloading.
