Just in case anyone is interested, I'll be listing my vintage Compex F760X-RS Compressor/Limiter on Ebay in the next day or so.
It dates fom the seventies and here in the UK was the compressor of choice for voiceover, especially in West End studios. It's stuffed full of FETs.
The Compex is now a pretty rare piece of kit that sounds awesome on drums -especially if you want that classic Led Zep sound. I'll be a touch sad to see it go, but to be honest I haven't used it in so long and I can't really justify it in the rack these days. I think it's time it found a more loving home  |
