I'm looking for new CD cases, but I don't want the standard jewel case. I want a DVD style case with the height and width of a jewel case. Anyone know where I can get such a thing? _________________ Jeff

eBay can be your friend...
Or, http://www.supermediastore.com/cddvdpackaging.html
There are others of course, just search the internet for DVD cases or Amray cases or DVD packaging supplies.

i do a lot of business with Uline (clicky) - reasonably priced, great customer service* & super-fast shipping.
*WARNING: you will get their ENORMOUS printed catalog with every order no matter how many times you tell them not to send it. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

I'm not looking for DVD cases. I've got a million of those, but I'm afraid that clients will think I'm sending them a DVD instead of an audio cd. So I'm looking for an Amray style case that is the same size as a CD jewel case. Didn't find anything at supermediastore or meritline or Uline. _________________ Jeff

I've had excellent experiences with MeritLine for media and cases... not sure if this is what you have in mind, but:

SCRATCH THAT - I JUST RE-READ THAT YOU CHECKED MERITLINE AND IT WASN'T THE CASE YOU WANTED - SORRY FOR THE DUMB POST. _________________ David Swinehart

I haven't seen those, Jeff, but I'd be hesitant selecting a funky case that won't fit into storage / shelves etc. (those amSome people are touchy about that and will throw them in a drawer (or other unfavorable bin) if they won't play nice with whatever storage the person has chosen.
I imagine you're trying to stand out or get away from jewel cases' horrible crack-y and break-y-ness, but it can backfire.
Just make sure that the dimensions aren't bigger than a jewel case so that they fit into any racks / storage that work for typical CDs. _________________ Lou Zucaro

Jeff,
I just looked back through my records, since those are the cases I used when I last sent out demos. I bought some from Supermediastore, but I just checked and they no longer sell them (or at least I couldn't find them). Another vendor I used no longer sells them, but the guy I bought them from on eBay still sells them. Shipping's a bit much, but a box of 100 or 200 isn't exactly light. Depending on the shipping cost from the place in Jeffer's link, the eBay guy may also be a good deal. Here's a link to his current inventory of them.
P.S. I just checked and I still have a bunch left from my last batch and I don't anticipate sending out CDs again (at least I don't think I will be), so depending upon how many you need we might be able to work something out. If you're interested, let me know. I have two different styles and I can send you specifics and pics if you'd like. |

You might also check your local office supply store, Target or Best Buy. |
