readers with exceptional memories and too much spare time on their hands may remember a post last year wherein i touted a tv spot i voiced/puppeteered for. it had the pocket linings at a check cashing service talking to each other.
got word this morning that the project won two Addys for the agency...always gratifying.
but more intriguing was this quote from our producer:
"...Bronze Addy in the National TV category and a Judge's Choice Award for Best Intentional Use of Humor"
i'm trying to find out if there was a catagory for Best Un-Intentional Use of Humor. if so, i have a few nominations to submit.
here's a link to the original spot:

Rowell,
You've now won at least 2 more awards for your work than I have for any of my work. Good for you! _________________ Be well,

i remember ... good job. now you can sign your letters: "award winning voice actor, rowell gormon" you could have probably done that before --- but i would. or simply, "rowell gormon, A.A.W." _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Well, some unintentionally funny things have happened when other people put their hands in my pockets, but I haven't able to put that in a commercial, yet.
A big hand for you!

Rowell, Very nice job! Congrats. What an awesome feeling that must be. I'm sure there will be more to come for your work. Once it starts it just keeps on going. Good Job. _________________ TG2
