I wonder if the squirrels were observing. They're probably planning their revenge. Imagine the amount of trips up and down that tower. Wow!

Every once in a while I'd find the stale remnants of a sandwich in my mailbox and ask myself what I did to piss off the mailman. Then, after hearing the pitter-patter of little feet on top of the air conditioner next to the mailbox, it finally dawned on me that it must have been squirrels depositing provisions in there. Not sure how they planned to retrieve them.

Didn't they say that the woodpeckers were the ones that were storing the acorns? If so... the squirrels are probably organizing a work party to load all those acorns into the nearest tree. That would leave one sad, and tired woodpecker, who lost his 300 pound investment in one day. My guess is that the squirrels are working for Bernie Madoff.
