Anybody download the 3.1.5 upgrade? I did this morning and I am getting a "Server Account validation failed" error on the Q manager start up. Looks like the Source Connect plug-in within ProTools is not working right as well.
Thanks |

Haven't touched it yet. I usually wait a bit until I hear it is stable.
You'll probably need to wait until Monday and ask support.
You can also find them on Skype at source-support _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

The word from Source Elements:
"just bug fixes. we found a couple of issues with the q manager which were very minor, and removed some confusing UI items which were put in by mistake (the 'vpn option' in the setup of q manager is irrelevant for standard)."
Have you gotten it working?
There's a new stand-alone version coming very soon, will keep you posted... _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

no luck yet...had someone from support working with me yesterday. Did get the log on working but having some major skipping issue and it is not due to bandwidth because I have more than 17 meg down and nearly a meg up. He had to go in to a session and we didn't have time to finish. We are going to hook up again and see what the culprit is. I think it is not SC but something else I did. Hopefully we will figure it out quickly. Thanks for your info! |

I think there is a rule somewhere in the world of technology that one should only make one change at a time...I didn't follow that rule. I did the upgrade the same day the cable company installed the phone service with a new cable modem. Robert from Source Connect has been awesome to work with and we have narrowed it down to what looks to be a bad Belkin router. It apparently failed as the same time...aint technology grand. Looks like I am going shopping for a new Links WRT 54G. |

Yeah, the folks at Source Elements go WAY beyond the call of duty to help out their users, it's a great company. They will begin to charge a small fee for service calls soon, so they can afford to hire on more support techs to handle the increasing load. Thanks for keeping me informed. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
