Now I know why Voice123 uses that name.

3 strikes and I'm gone. 3 times accused by V123 of plagiarism.

Where's the ZERO?

Zero consideration for talent.
Zero customer support.
Zero value smartcast system.
Zero jobs.

I'd explain, but it took me almost an hour to write a blog about it all HERE.

I'd like to say "wow" but I'm not really surprised.

Ugh. If I ran my business in that manner, I wouldn't have clients.

I think you want to take your "Voice 123 Profile"sticker off your blog.

If you cared you could send them a response each and every time citing federal law on excerpting and attributing another person's work, give them the name of your lawyer, and then tell them to get lost, but something tells me you've stopped caring.

For most of the people that work at that place English seems to be a second language, and courtesy never gets a second thought.

Sorry you had to deal with that Dave. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that plagiarism is using another person's work and claiming it's your own.

Quoting, especially with attribution and linking on the net, is nowhere near plagiarism.

In my opinion, Voice123 is a horrible company, run by a bunch of people who simply don't care about their clients at all.

I know people who've gotten a lot of work there, and good work, too, but they can have it. I got into v.o. to have fun and make a few extra dollars here and there doing it, not to be berated and insulted by ignorant, rude people who have never even met me.

I vote we visit the offices of this company and throw pies at the owners. Not Steak and Kidney Pies in a short crust pastry, waste of pies. I'm thinking Walmort past the "best before date" 10 for a dollar type pies.

LEGAL LOOPHOLE

The company remains unidentified by the writer and as a limited liability company there are no owners(in law) only shareholders. No acts of "Pie" have been suggested against the Shareholders, of course should pie throwers mistake shareholders for owners that's hardly the fault (in law) of the writer.

Dave,

Rhubarb is my favorite pie, at least as made by my dear Grandmother (may she rest in peace). I've only now been able to read your blog post as the BGEA firewall blocks your site along with most of the rest of the blogosphere, at least the part using Typepad. You really are a saint.

Sorry to hear of your bad experience. I dumped them as soon as my free (trade) membership expired. Not only do I feel they have a seriously flawed business model, they are arrogant and have poor customer service. If I have time and can figure out how, I am considering pulling the free listing there as well. I am with PB and FF in thinking little real work comes from P2P sites.

Some new local clients I've gotten since I stopped using them said they tried Vee Eins Zwei Drei, but the talent pool was so poor they figured they'd just find somebody they liked and called them directly...et viola!

I do everything I can to market myself for Atlanta...and I could never show up in their search engines on the website no matter what I did. Some guy from Phoenix would show up as a top ten Atlanta talent instead. Grrrr.
