Ugh, I finally remembered what the current price is. We have so many odd-numbered stamps. I've still got almost 100 $.29...you should see how I make $.42 out of that. Most envelopes I send are covered in 1 & 2 cent stamps.

Used to be you could gather up all those old stamps and combos thereof, take 'em into the post office and cash 'em in for the correct postage.

Are they not providing that service any more?

It's now called "PostalPaper" - kinda like wallpaper, because you go postal when you need to count up the exact stamp amount.

They cost 42 cents now but will remain valid as 1st class postage regardless of subsequent rate increases.

and to follow-up on Lee, you can get a 100 of those bad boys for less than 42 cents. I think it's $41.75. Hey, a quarter's a quarter.
