Dredging up the old "Studio Pics" thread to post a couple of shots of my latest pet project.
[DB's edit: I put this into a new thread. All new Stuff for a whole new year!]
A bit of new equipment, a whole lot of rearranging, some quality time with a trusted engineer, and a couple of ISDN test sessions confirm what I've been hoping for: THE NEW STUDIO IS DONE! (Except for maybe some art on the walls...any suggestions?)

Doug's Studio Pic #1 (Desk & Gear)

Doug's Studio Pic #2 (Booth & Mic)

Favorite piece of gear? Tranzport remote. It gives me full control of Protools from inside the booth.

So exciting!! Everything looks GREAT! I was just brainstorming yesterday about ways to run Pro Tools sessions from my recording space...I may be calling you soon Smile

You should be proud...that's very nice work, and nicely arranged.

No excuses now!!

Have you had any issues with reflections since one of those monitors is pointed at the glass in the booth?

During monitoring I'd think that would be an issue.

Thanks all! I've really enjoyed putting the studio together, and I realize now that I like audio gadgets WAAAAAY too much. And no, I don't expect the space to stay as clean and tidy as it looks in the pictures, but that'll be my goal.

Kara - The Tranzport's been a huge help...feel free to call with questions. (http://www.frontierdesign.com/Products/TranzPort)

Courvo - Excuses? I wish! Heck, I didn't have any before!

Yoda - No real reflection issues, but that's because most of my monitoring happens in my headphones (one side only) while I'm recording. Most of my clients get dry voice tracks from me, so I'm not really doing much mixing at the desk.

Caryn - Thanks for backing me up! (And now that the ISDN is in, you're welcome over here any time.)

Everyone else - Glad you like it! Now I just need an interior designer.
