All right, relax guys. And back off, censor-types.
This is about dehumidifiers for basement studios.
Damp basements are definitely unfriendly to audio and other electronic gear, so a few years back I purchased a Kenmore dehumidifier. It helped. Until this spring when it just became a noisy fan with iced-over coils.
Just bought a Danby 40-pint dehumidifier online and the level dropped overnight fropm 78 percent to 60 percent. They have a few different sizes, but this model covers up to 2500 square feet, way bigger than my basement. And it's way quieter than the Sears machine. At about 230 bucks, more or less, it's not cheap, but seems to be well worth it.
Just sayin'. |
