...that there's been no mention as yet on the passing of a true broadcast icon, one of my idols and a major inspiration to me for entering the broadcasting industry all those 33 years ago.
Ed McMahon passed today @ 86. No specific cause was given, but he had suffered from bone cancer for some time.

Carival Barker > U.S. Marine fighter pilot in Korea > TV personality >
became very wealthy > spent it all (provided for his family) and died broke
at 86.
