http://www.db-cooper.com/Teaching.html
It's the little movie in the lower right.
I've used a Quicktime Plug-in with a poster frame and I'd like to be sure it's presenting properly
'What does it have to do with "teaching"?' you may ask, and you'd be right.
Nothing at all.
I am about to undertake an upheaval of me own website— I need a "media" tab or something. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

I hate QT on websites, but, that said, it plays and looks great. No problems at all.

The Flash player was giving me the pip— it wouldn't display the poster frame.
So this is me, punting.
Thank you Frank.

The only issue I had was with the QT player. Like Frank, I prefer flash.
That said, I found BitsOnTheRun.com a moth or so ago. There's a free option and works great if you only have a few videos.
Upload your QT, WMV, AVI or MPG and the site generates code which includes the flash player.
Very tidy. _________________ Dave "Christi" Felton

I'm using Windows XP Media Edition and IE 8 and it worked a treat. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

I've got the odd system out. Mine pops up a "save/play" dialog and asks what I'd like to open the file with. |

I'm not having trouble making my video file into a Flash movie file. I just wasn't able to quickly have the poster frame work for this movie when I used a Flash player.
I can use Flash to encode a whole Action Scripty thing but I was hoping to avoid it. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Thought you might want an explanation.
When QT is used on the web it takes over my computer and the gremlins appear for a few moments to minutes while QT comes up and readies itself to play. The program also does not allow me to size the picture or make other adjustments I might desire. Hence, why I dislike QT on the web.
Other than my personal dislike for QT, as always, you have hit a home-run!

Deebs, I believe with BitsOnTherun you can choose the still frame for your movie, too. _________________ Dave "Christi" Felton

WOW! It is all very impressive. I love that pic of you, too. Very pretty!
Oh, and it played fine in Vista and FF with no hitch. _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.
